It's oh so quiet!!







It rained all through yesterday night so no trapping unfortunately and even though it was a warm day today it got very nippy once the sun had gone down so not a lot of moths around tonight but I got a few interesting specimens never the less.
The trap was out from 9:30pm to 3:30am.

  1. Hi Ian, Can't help with first moth but second is a Small Blood Vein. Third looks like a dark specimen of Silver Y to me(I've had some this dark).

  2. Hi Karen, Thanks!....I've had a lot of Silver-Y but this one had a very different colour to the wings...a lot of pink where the grey usually is etc. It probably is just a Silver-Y but a variant specimen.
